We are bursting with pride here at La Tragna Dance Academy as we share some truly exciting news – our very own Gracie Roper has been chosen as one of this year's Barnstaple Carnival Queens! πŸ‘‘βœ¨

In a historic first, the organisers of Barnstaple Carnival 2025 have crowned not just one, but two queens to lead the procession. After what was described as an "impossible to call" contest, judges awarded the titles to 14-year-old Gracie and 12-year-old Mollie-Rose Browning, who will both be at the head of the spectacular parade on Saturday 20th September.

Gracie will ride in style on the newly renovated Carnival Coach, which has been lovingly restored thanks to months of fundraising and volunteer work. She and Mollie-Rose will be leading the way through the town, accompanied for the very first time by the Devon Army Cadet Band.

The day promises to be one of the highlights of the year for Barnstaple, with live entertainment, family attractions, food and charity stalls, and of course the grand carnival procession followed by a dazzling firework display at 8pm.

At LDA we are so proud to see Gracie's talent, dedication and shining personality recognised in this way. She has always brought sparkle and energy to her dancing, and we know she will bring exactly the same joy to the role of Carnival Queen. πŸŒΈπŸ’ƒ

Please join us in congratulating Gracie on this incredible achievement – we can't wait to see her waving proudly from the Carnival Coach on September 20th!
